Like Vincent Van gogh said once "... I long to make things beautiful. But beautiful things require effort- and disappointment and perseverance." I believe that using clay as a medium requires a lot of effort and perseverance. Sometimes things don't work out as well as I thought they would and it becomes disappointing. As an artist I push my boundaries and comfort zones to learn new things and ways to make projects.

          When I am given a project I like to do some research before I begin. I attempt to make sure that my projects don't seem too similar. I research in many things like aspiring artists. I see their work and think what I can interpret from it without copying. I also look at quotes and pictures taken that could give me inspiration. When I work I have a tendency to change my original idea but try to keep the same theme with with different interpretation.
